21 is a movie about six young MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) students who are trained by a professor to rake in millions at Vegas. Since the movie is based on a true story, I thought the soundtrack could provide me with the right attitude and mood for a little game of poker, as I am only an average player.
In all honesty, half of the bands on the album were unfamiliar to me so I figured I probably wouldn’t be too impressed with it. Then You Can’t Always Get What You Want by The Rolling Stones, brilliantly remixed by Soulwax, came on. And then Mad Pursuit was playing and I was already winning half of the pot. Indeed, the songs put me in the right mindset and gave me the courage to take down anyone in my way.
This album is an ideal companion to get you suitably in the mood for a game of poker. By the way, I didn’t win. Maybe you’ll have better luck than I do.
